The World Will Be Meeting in Brazil

In a few months time, half a million people will cross oceans to get to South America in order to celebrate the biggest event for the most loved sport on the planet: soccer. Soccer is not the most beloved sport in the United States but times are changing are more and more people are embracing this competent sport. In fact, over 150,000 Americans already have tickets to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. On June 12, the first of eighty-four matches kicks off in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Thirty-two countries come from around the world to claim the entitlement for the most prominent award there is in soccer. Oh, and did I mention that this festive occasion turns into a month-long party?  You can think of the World Cup as a cross between the Olympics and the Super Bowl, except that the fan base has tripled and their passion for the game has turned into their creed.
So, you might ask "Why should I go to Brazil?" For starters, there are two things that Brazilians have mastered: playing soccer and hosting a party. Famously known for the flamboyant festivals, Brazil has had some practice throwing a party for half a million people. Carnival in Rio is a spectacle in itself and remains one of the biggest celebrations across the globe. Additionally, soccer has been claimed to be Brazil’s unofficial religion. Combine these two elements together and you get an epic sporting celebration that you won’t see again in your lifetime (it's been sixty-four years since Brazil last hosted the World Cup). Add a beautiful countryside with beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, and welcoming hosts, and you've just stumbled upon paradise.
Down below, I have compiled three different genres that buoyantly demonstrate why you should pack up your bags and fly to south to Brazil to attend this year’s World Cup. The first one, a brochure, will give you a look into Brazil and soccer and help you learn a little more about each. Second, I have made my own list of reasons of why YOU need to attend the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Some are aimed more towards you sports fanatics, while others are aimed for the traveler at heart. Last, I have made a promotional video that should fill you with excitement and keenness, convincing you that this is the dream vacation you have been fantasizing about.
